MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Syrian government delegation will participate in the new round of intra-Syrian peace talks after parliamentary elections, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said Wednesday.

"The delegation will participate in the upcoming round of the intra-Syrian negotiations in Geneva after the parliamentary elections. The delegation will be headed by Bashar Jaafari [Syria's permanent representative at the UN]," Mekdad said.
